People interested in Parkour networking can use the social networking website Orkut for all their networking needs, parkour, and otherwise. The Parkour scene in India is run almost entirely from that place, and from the Parkour India, and other regional communities created for individual cities. Requirements (these requirements have been left here as a guideline, but do not matter anymore since we have closed all further enquiries and memberships to the team) -
1) Should be a highly physically conditioned athlete. (Harboring delusions about your fitness levels won't get you anywhere, and lies will be caught immediately. We are professionals, we know our stuff.)
2) Should be dedicated about training on a regular basis, and should have that sort of time on his/her hands to show up for practice. (If you feel you lead a highly busy life and cannot in any way find time to dedicate to practicing parkour, as well as towards conditioning your body on a regular basis, back out now.)
3) Should have a prior working knowledge of the sport of parkour, its constituent elements and its intricacies. (Merely
having heard the term 'parkour' does not constitute knowledge of the sport, and such people will not be entertained. You will be tested for your knowledge before you are granted an audience.)
4) Should be a mature adult above 18 years of age. (If you are about to turn 18 in a short while, and are of a sound and mature enough mind, we will be willing to overlook the minority based on compliance with the other mentioned factors.)
5) Should be willing to travel around the city.
6) Doesn't matter whether you're a guy or a girl, as long as you fulfill the above mentioned requirements.
7) Should be a resident of the city of Mumbai, doesn't matter where, as long as you are within city municipal limits. (If you live anywhere else, or in any other far-flung satellite township of the city of Mumbai, Navi Mumbai not included, then READ the title of the website again, and save your energy and don't contact us. We only cater to Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. You would be better off contacting people and forming groups in your own geographical region. Use the above-mentioned Orkut. If you live in Navi Mumbai or live on the Harbor Line belt, then you don't apply for this membership opening, but you can contact us for alternate practice avenues, which would be closer to your geographical region. See above.)
So if you think you match all of the above requirements, then contact the admin of the website.
If you don't match even one of the above, then don't bother contacting, just accept the fact that you are not made for the sport.
If you are still bent on learning the sport, then your only option is to take paid lessons. Currently there are only two such classes in the city, mentioned above. We cannot help it if the classes are far to reach from your local geographical region. Take a train.
