Callout to all traceurs for participating in game show.

Here's a fun opportunity for all you guys who practice parkour, and even for those who claim to practice parkour. A fun way in which to test your skills, compare yourself with your own goals, test how far you have progressed, have a load of fun along the way, and even get the chance to appear on TV.

Yes, you heard me right, you get to appear on TV, and no, this isn't the Indian version of the Barclaycard World Freerun Championships, but instead, is the Indian version of the famous game show Takeshi's castle (pardon me if I've gotten the spelling wrong, I don't watch TV).

You will get to jump around, cross obstacles, and test out all your parkour/freerun faculties that you've earned hard over the past few years. And the best part is, if you are thoroughly tested by some really hard obstacle, you can still attempt it and not worry about breaking your limbs in the Big Fall you have, because it will be entirely safe. And fun!

A television production company has approached Parkour Mumbai to invite traceurs to appear on an upcoming game show based on the popular japanese show Takeshi's Castle, where you will be required to "jump , hang , swing , spin , balance , run , slide , cross hurdles and most of all; get ready for a Big Fall!".
So in short, it's pretty much based on the principles of Parkour, so that's why they thought it would be a great idea to feature actual traceurs.

For entering the show, you will first have to undertake an audition, and then, if you are selected, you will be taken further from there. The auditions are going to be held on the 15th, 16th, and 17th of Feb at a studio in Malad (W). Although, I am not sure which day will be allotted specifically to traceurs. And I have also not been informed about the actual date the filming will take place. So if you are planning to enter, plan a little flexibility in your schedules, and be prepared for last minute notices.

This thing is open to all traceurs who are over 17 years of age, and are physically fit, and full of enthusiasm, and a fun person to be around.

ALL traceurs are invited, provided you meet with the production company's requirements above.
Please post below in this thread if you want in. Also mention your offline contact details (not required of people whom I know personally).
Last date for submitting your entry (with us) is Feb 12, 2009.
Posts made for entry anywhere else other than in this thread will NOT be counted.

Yo people (the ones who've signed up), fresh update. Most likely we'll be going for the auditions on Monday the 16th, so keep yourselves free of other plans on that day.

Y'know, this is what bugs me the most.
When you do put things up in advance, notifying everyone about it in good faith, no one responds to it, and if, god-forbid, for any reason you are unable to inform people of even the most minor or inconsequential of things, they start jumping up and down your ass playing the blame-slinging game.
*****coughcough***coughjazzycoughcough******

I'm really appalled at the dismal turnout on this people.
Atleast if anyone misses out on this opportunity, you'll have no one but yourselves to blame.

Allright listen up!

Whoever is willing to come for the auditions:

We will be meeting up at Malad Station at 9:00 AM on Monday, Feb 16, 2009. From there, we will all gather together and go on to the studio location where the auditions are going to be held.

Please be in front of MM Mithaiwala outside Malad station in the West side at 9 AM sharp. We intend to leave the place by 9:10 AM, and that is only as long as we will wait. So if anyone shows up later than 9:10, be prepared to find no one there.

See you guys on Monday. Let the show begin!!

Yes you may come if you wish.

There is no 'tag along', this is not one of our productions or our events.Outside parties are involved, that too big name production companies. Only come if you are serious about entering in the game show itself. If you do get in however, you might still be able to solve your purpose of observing us in action.
